Small steps of obedience negate the need for giant leaps of faith

The path of a spirit filled life, and oneness with GOD, is far more comprised of single steps of obedience and trust, than giant leaps of faith. Obedience, and trust, comes prior to unwavering faith. We must first trust HIM and others, before we acquire, over time, complete faith in HIM and them.

As we look back, we will see that this is true, as we have a culmination, of single and or multiple small steps of obedience, more than we do giant leaps of faith. It is again, after we trust HIM and grow spiritually, that we attain, unwavering faith, in all things. When over time our trust in GOD grows, from obedience, giant leaps of faith are rarely required, as we have been walking with HIM for so long, obeying and adhering to HIS direction, and found HE has, as promised, never forsaken, left, nor lead us wrong.

Patience comes to mind, as well, when I think of the intricate components, and significant changes that occur, while on this journey. For it is when we seek to fulfill our fleshly desires in our time, and not patiently waiting upon HIM and fulfilling HIS will for us, that we disobey, stray and show a lack of trust.

You cannot expect a child, to conduct themself in a way beyond their maturity level. You can encourage, but cannot demand forcefully, behavior modifications they are incapable of making. This is truly how GOD lovingly and patiently waits for us to surrender, and choose, to do it HIS way.

The temporary pleasure, comfort, or satisfaction we derive from sin, or any disobedience of GOD'S will or commandments will never, replace the blessings HE would have blessed us with if we had persevered and or turned from the sin we choose to commit. Always seek GOD and HIS will; it will always be better for us in the end.

Take those daily small steps of obedience, starting today, for they say it takes 40 days for a practiced behavior to become habit and or permanent. Is there an issue of sin in your life that GOD has been speaking to you about? Make the decision to instead, take the necessary small step toward GODLY change and obedience, so that later in life, giant leaps of faith are not required.
